Services We Offer
The ITC provides the following contract services to users who have more intensive or customized needs, or who
are outside the UT community. This assistance is offered on a fee for service basis. To discuss your project
specifics and obtain a cost estimate, contact the ITC Executive Director, Dr. Jean Derco
(jderco@utk.edu; 865-974-9551)
Instructional Resource Development
The ITC authors, produces, and disseminates courseware, training documents, technical materials, and
other instructional technology resources. We also develop customized productivity tools and source code to
match specific client needs for internal or external use and commercial distribution.

Instructional Web and Interactive Media Development
The ITC designs, develops, evaluates, and maintains instructional Web sites. In addition, we can provide
training and consultation to personnel responsible for extended maintenance of a site. In order to provide a
total hosting and technical support solution, the ITC works with the university's UNIX group.

Workshops and Training
The ITC offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance
the effective integration of instructional technology in the
professional practice. Individuals and organizations outside
of the university's academic community can contract to register
for and attend ITC-sponsored workshops, seminars and symposia.
In addition to existing workshops, we can be contracted to
design, develop, and deliver customized workshops and training
to meet the specialized needs of educational institutions,
government agencies, and industry. We also offer instructional
technology credit and non-credit workshops to UT students
and the community at large in collaboration with academic
units and/or through UT Community Programs, Outreach and Continuing
Education, and other professional programs.
