Online
blackboard certification
CMS 110 OL may be taken in lieu of
the required two-hour CMS 110 workshop
However, in order
to become a certified Online@UT user, online participants
will be required to complete all assignments satisfactorily
within one week of first gaining access to the course.
Only faculty, graduate teaching associates/assistants (GTAs),
and staff with teaching responsibilities can be CMS-certified.
GAs and other staff may take this workshop, but will
not be entered into the certification database.
Because CMS 110 OL is delivered completely online, we
ask that only experienced computer users register for it.
In order to complete the required tasks, you will be expected
to:
- Work simultaneously in two browser windows
- Copy and paste text from a word processor
(for example, Microsoft Word)
- Browse in your operating system (using,
for example, Windows Explorer) to find a document stored
on your computer
- Download files from the Internet and save
them to your computer
If you are unfamiliar with these tasks, we ask that
you instead register for
CMS 110, the two-hour, face-to-face
workshop.
